Disease fighting anti oxidants that are present in the juice of fruits and vegetables play as large a role as the fibre in fighting disease, the study concluded.
Hmm... but this doesn't really address that fiber in the fruits and vegetables is important for other reasons, namely slowing the digestion of the fruits which will help to eliminate insulin spikes from the natural sugars.

Thanks for posting! We give our DD watered down 100% juice and drink it ourselves sometimes. I believe there are probably some juices better than others, so we try to stick with grape and such instead of apple. I know many Pedis are saying now no juice, but it's hard to overlook the vitamins. As was posted above it is a lot of sugar at one time to the system, so it's good to have it with something to balance out the blood sugar spike. Fit For Life said juice should be "chewed" and drunk alone, at least 1/2 hour before you eat anything else if you decide to drink juice. DH still goes by that I think.
I know you can get nutrients from juice like you can from fruit, but fruit juice so often has so much sugar in it! I love juice, and I do think it's better to drink it than drinking a coke or something, but I try not to drink too much because there's so much sugar and calories
