Julia- Just wanted to say I ordered last night. Can't wait to get my food and start. I gotta start back my walking to. I need a Nutrisystem Diet Buddy now LOL! Thanks again for all your help. I am sure I will be needing more as the days go by.

Wow, you look so good. Knowing that I can look like you one day and losing the weight is possible is really inspiring and motivating.

Horray! I wish you all the success in the world with it - and do keep up the exercise! Have you thought about doing a little weight/resistance training, too? That's something I like to do at home, in front of the tv with some free weights. As awlays, feel free to ask me any questions as you move along with the plan. Have you checked out the NS website members area? There are some great discussion boards there, too, that I've found really motivating. Let me know if you set up a personal page and we can be NS friends

Thanks Never did I imagine that it was even possible to me to lose as much as I did.
You can totally do it!

So... to answer your questions I try to go to curves everyday for at least half an hour. I do a lot more walking . I am just starting to be able to jog a bit now. Not able to run yet, but as the weight comes off it certainly gets easier.

You said in your posts that NS really helped you or basically trained you to always watch what you put in your mouth. That was the hardest thing for me to train myself to do. Thats why for the first 3 months of exercise I only lost a couple of pounds. I really watch what I eat now. I stay away from all carbs and sugar and limit certain meats. I eat a lot of vegtibles, fruit and chicken. And I drink lots of water, never any coffee, juices or sodas Now I am losing on average 2.5 pounds a week, and it just keeps getting easier. And like you said seeing the pounds come off is motivation enough to keep going.
What do you think of exercise bikes?

I've been following the Insulin Resistance diet, and walking at least 30 minutes a day.
The 2nd part of my plan is to do the 20 min Windsor Pilates DVD at least twice a week, but I'm still working on my motivation for stage 2, haha. The last time I did the Pilates seriously, I lost 20 lbs in one month, so I'm planning on kicking it into high gear next week. This week I'm down for the count with the flu.

Feel better soon!!! For me it was running that totally changed my body and led to the greatest periods of loss. I've been thinking about trying Pilates - how are the DVDs?

The DVDs are great. They really are a full body workout in 20 minutes. You don't need anything except for your body and the floor or a mat, and she offers modified positions for people that are unable to do the regular ones at first. I highly recommend them.

WOW!!! You look so amazing! Well done! Definately and inspiration!!!

When I was denied for my Gastric Bypass I cried and cried so hard I thought there was nothing I could do. I was so depressed....the worst in my young life. At 25 I am 265, my heaviest was 285 but I have somehow lost 20 pounds in a 6 month period for no particular reason.

When I decided to pick myself up a little over a month and a half ago I decided I had to be proactive. I have always been an active big person, I like to hike and play softball and walk my dog. But for 1 month and 1 week I have been working out 5 days a week with 20-30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weights. I haven't seen any weight loss but I noticed I've lost a few inches off my waist. I think that is because where I am losing inches I am gaining muscle mass.

As soon as I get a stable job I want to start on a food program, like nutrisystem to couple that with my exercise. Thanks for sharing your story and giving hop!!!

Missy
