Hi Ladies,
I've read that the HcG trigger takes about 10-14 days to disappear from the body - I'm about 13 days past trigger (and 12 days past IUI) right now.
Do I still run the risk of a false positive?
I have no idea how sensitive/insensitive my tests are - they aren't name brand. They were $2 each, and my naturopath gave them to me - they're HcG "sticks" that you use with a cup. So, I don't know how reliable they are.

I was 12 Dpo on Saturday, but only 10 dpIUI and I did the mistake of testing. I got BFN. I think and am HOPING that it was just way too early. I say, save yourself the aggrivation and just wait a few more days to be sure. But good luck to you! I know how anxious you are to know. I AM TOO!!

My Dr told me to test 14 days past IUI, but I also heard hcG is out of ur system in abut 10 days. I too use the cheap test until I get a BFP then I will double check w/ a good test. I would test in the morning w/ fmu, but if u van hold out I would try and wait till cd15.

Thanks, ladies - I'm crossing my fingers for both of you (lots of baby dust flying your way!).
I tested this morning with the cheapie and got a faint line. So tomorrow, if the line is still there, I'll feel more hopeful. It could totally be the HcG leaving my system.
But nothing will seal the deal better than my beta on Wednesday. Argh! The anxiety is insane.

I read somewhere online that if you trigger with 5000 units of hcg it should be out of your system after 10 days, and if you used 10,000 units it takes 14 days. If you used a much lower dose (like ovidrel) then it should definitely be out of your system already...so things are looking good for your faint line! Let us know tomorrow a.m.!

I found for myself that it depended what shot I took. If it was Ovidrel it was out of my system at 10 days (I love POAS so much I did it daily so I would know in the future). One cycle they gave me Novidrel by mistake and it was out in about 4-5 days. I think at 10 days pIUI or dpo you will be okay.

Ladies - I tested again today (14 days past HcG, and 13 days past IUI).
I got a line again! Not sure what this means - I'm still skeptical that the HcG is kicking around. I used a fairly sensitive test (clearblue), so it's possible that it picked up a trace amount...I'm guessing.
Tomorrow is the beta! Will post back!
Maritza: Good luck tomorrow, darling. I conceived my daughter with clomid, metformin, and an IUI. Hope that we post both with BFP's tomorrow!!!:-)

Here's crossing my fingers for tomorrow! Bloods are in the morning, RE's office usually calls in the afternoon. The wait will be torture! I'll be busy at work, so hopefully the time will fly.

14 dp shot sounds wayyyy to long to still have trace amounts, I'm guess you will get your BFP tomorrow!!
