Question 1500 mg of Met and 100 mg of Clomid

Hi All,

I have just been prescribed 1500 mg of Met along with 100 mg of Clomid after trying 3 rounds of 50 mg Clomid and not conceiving. I did not take any clomid this month, will start the upped dosage next cycle. Will the Met help me keep a regular period? I have no idea when I will ovulate! Will it be the same as on Clomid? Will the met help with acne and/or prevent weight gain? I'm seeing all kinds of contradictory stuff on the web. Help! Thanks!

The only think Met helps me do is maintain weight, steadies my BBT, and helps me respond to Clomid.

Clomid alone does not make me Ov. Met alone does not make me Ov. Together, nice strong Ov and BFP

Met helps many woman Ov on their own, but unfortunately it also does not help many woman to Ov on their own. But it does help some of them respond to fertility treatments. So I always say it is worth a shot, if nothing else.

Everyone reacts differently to it, so no one person's expereince can be called the norm. Some woman it helps with acne, others not. Some woman it helps with weight loss, others not. The reason you've read so many differing stuff on teh web is because it is all differing. It just depends on the person, the dose, their need of it, etc... Everyone's experience is unique.

What really matter is how you will react to it.
Good luck and best wishes.

Thanks for the input! I'm hoping for that BFP soon!

I have been on 1500mg of Met for 2 months and last month had a period! but still no ovulation. i will be starting clomid in march and my doctor thinks that i will O fairly quickly with the two combined.

met has helped me loose weight, but i think that it's mainly b/c it makes me sick and i dont want to eat a lot. i hasnt improved my acne at all, but its always been pretty bad. good luck to you!
