I am also 16 and am having the same problem. I went to this OWL (optimal Weight for life) clinic and they said that a low carbohydrate diet is best. Eating meals where 2/3 of the plate are veggies and the meat is the size of your palm is good. Stay away from bananas. You want to go for the sugars that are found in plants and fruits, not sugar that is in processed foods. You also want to drink either a lot of water, diet sodas, or anything light. (such as diet iced tea) you just really, really want to stay away from processed foods and junk food. I've lost 10 pounds on it all ready!! my e-mail is
