Default Questions for the guys...

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I have a few questions for the males running around.

Basically, I was just diagnosed with PCOS even though I've been complaining about symptoms almost since puberty. I won't go into my doctor rant here, but needless to say, they brushed me off for years. In fact, they even told my parents I must be sneaking food, etc etc.
So for years, despite eating VERY well, and working out a LOT, I was always told this was my fault, and made to feel very bad about it by my own family. (Including being told the extra hair would go away if I'd just lose some weight) As a result I'm probably more sensitive to some of the physical problems then I should be. I'm sure I've got a slightly skewed view of things.

Anyway, my real question.
I've got an incredibly supportive and loving boyfriend. We've been together for 3 years at least. He's a very patient male...lol.
Anyway, despite anything he says, I'm terrified of my appearance, and scared of him seeing what I look like with this extra hair/weight.
He's even said he'd take extra hair of over stubble from shaving any day! And still I can't get over my own shyness.

I guess, what I want is a guy's perspective on this. I know this problem is 'mine' and I have to get over it. Even though my BF is quite understanding, and tells me not to worry about it, what can I expect that he's feeling? Am I 'making a mountain out of a molehill'?

Thanks in advance....
