I have read two studies on metformin and BP. One indicated the opposite...that improved BP in patients: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/...9NGm1Cuu2Cb2YI|-2613904973409124550/184161394/6/7001/7001/7002/7002/7001/-1
The other percieved no change in BP: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract
So there is no data in either of these two studies that suggests that BP worsens with Met. There are so many other factors that can affect BP...other meds, or even nerves in the office. For me personally, my BP has improved since starting Met.
Hope you can get to the bottom of this soon.
