Hi

My gyn diagnosed me with PCOS based on the pelvic ultrasound and all my other symptoms but I didn't have blood tests or anything else done. Granted, that was when I went back home for holidays (different country) and it was the very last week of the holidays that I went to see her.

She didn't seem to see the need for me to go by a doctor here and put me on metformin (one a day for 3 months) and Diane-35.

I was just wondering, would you go see a doctor here? I'm at school and there's university health services and then I think my student health insurance covers visits to an obgyn w/o referral but am not sure..but then too i don't know if i should be seeing a RE or something. And either way I've got no transportation to take me to see most doctors off campus. So is it necessary for me to see someone here?

help..
Lily
