I hope this doesn't scare you, but I'll be honest about my experience.....

You need to do what is best for you. I had a natural m/c and it was awful. I had to think about flushing a baby, that had a heartbeat a week before, down the toilet. In my opinion, I think a D&C would be a little better emotionally. Although having a natural m/c at home was better for privacy sake.

If you want the D&C (if need be), then that is what you should do.

As for your family friend that pointed out her situation with her daughter, things were much different 35 years ago. I think doctors were wrong more often about these things, since they didn't have the tests we have today. Don't let them guilt you into feeling worse than you already do.

I hope you get a miracle, but we are here for you if need be.
