There is another wonderful doctor in Saskatoon, SK and HER name is Dr. Thurza Smith, #300-149 Pacific Avenue North, Saskatoon. She is an OB/GYN and basically diagnosed me just by looking at me and my charts from my doctor. Of course, she had to examine me, ultrasound, blood tests etc. but that pretty much just satisfied her that she and I were right! My GP at home seemed to think I was just hormonal (yeesh - men...) and that the facial hair was probably hereditary. Can you believe that? I told him it was hereditary for my brother but not for me! Anyway, Dr. Smith has me on Metformin, I've just started and am only taking one pill per day, soon to two and then to 3 per day. I can't wait to get some sort of normal cycle happening - although it's been many years since I've been "normal" that I forget what it's like! |
