Hello!
I know I'm 4 days late, but I've been quite sick lately with something the dr.s can't figure out yet.lol
Anyways, hypothyroid is basically saying that your thyroid is sluggish...or slow. Being cold is one of the symptoms, a hard time losing weight, swollen thyroid glands, sometimes hairloss, dry skin. Its an added symptom of PCOS.
While its a pain dealing with it sometimes, it can be kept under control with good diet, exercise, and meds to bring it back under control. If you do a search, you should find certain levels for say TSH (I think it stands for Thyroid Secreting hormone??) T3 and T4 levels.
Sluggish thyriod levels also make things difficult to TTC. Theres also higher risks of miscarriage if your levels are too high or too low. Please do a search.....You'll learn so much! Also you can print out as much as you can and write down questions to ask your Dr. I find that Endocrinologists are equipped to deal with this alot better, but thats just in my opinion.
Hope i've helped a bit!!
