It was kind of weird, I was diagnosed by my OBGYN, and she just kind of made me an appointment with an endo then kind of left me to myself, ya know? Everything I've learned about PCOS so far has been by myself. Oh and also with the diabetes. So my doctors have been not helpful at all.
It was just like she called me and said, we got your labs back, you have type 2 diabetes and PCOS, we're sending you to an endocrinologist in two months. And then just kind of left me hanging, ya know? I know I have to find some better docs or something.
And is it normal to have to wait 4 or more months to see your OBGYN even if you haven't had a period in over 2 and a half years? I told the nurse this, and if I hadn't have gone to my regular doctor and insisted on seeing someone (all I got to see was a nurse), I would still be sitting here wondering where my period went. |
