Blood sugar readings can be normal even if insulin levels are high. That is why it is so important to have both a fasting blood sugar and fasting insulin test, followed by a GGT if there are questionable results. If you are insulin resistant with normal blood sugar levels, it is only a matter of time before the bs levels rise as well. You are lucky to have caught this early.
