I went to see Dr. Hayes yesterday. Well, I actually have mixed opinions about her. First off, I had to wait 2 hours. It was that busy. But I don't know if that was because I was a new patient or not. Anyway, the Nurse Prac. come in. She actually did most of the history and such. I saw Dr. Hayes for about 5 min. Basically the nurse prac. gave her a brief summary and said what she thought I should be put on. Dr. Hayes then looked at my chart briefly and ordered some labs and she did answer my questions. I do feel that my concerns were addressed. I also feel that Dr. Hayes is excellent in getting the PCOS taken care of. I was on Met 850mg 2 times a day and she has put me on Avandamet 2mg/1000mg 2 times a day. I feel that I will get great results from her. I will be going back to see her. I have heard that some doctors that have a busy practice will actually have the nurse prac. do most of the history and answer most of the questions and then the Dr. will review and make the final decision. However, if you want/need someone that will sit with you and give you that warm cozy feeling, then Dr. Hayes may not be the right one for you. But if you want someone that is good and that will take care of your PCOS then I would highly recommend Dr. Hayes. Good Luck to you and let me know if you decide to use her.
