Question hypo flare-up during period?

Does anyone here experience hypothyroid problems during her period?

I have been taking metformin for about a month, and a couple of days ago, I started a period. I have not had a period that was not triggered by pills since...I don't even know when. I haven't had a period at all in about 6 months. So the metformin is working, I guess.

But the last couple of days, I have felt like my thyroid is screwy. It feels like my nodules are swollen and my throat feels irritated, and I have a slight cough and slight difficulty swallowing. I've had an ultrasound, so I know I have nodules. I've also had weird sort of chills or anxiety or something, almost like a panic attack feeling.

I know that estrogen can affect thyroid, and I know pregnant women can have flare-ups of nodules and other problems, so I was wondering if anyone else notices problems during her period. If so, at least I'll know to just be patient and wait til it gets back to normal.

I just had my TSH checked about 2 weeks ago, and it was 0.75 which is kinda low, but my doc wanted me below 1 because of the nodules.
