Default Fighting for treatment with minor hypo...

Well, I pushed to get my doctor to do a thyroid test - which he did - but it came back "within normal limits" for him, so he didn't think any treatment was necessary.

I don't know the lab limits because I don't have the report yet, but my TSH was a 3.82, which is nearly a whole point higher than where it was a year ago! And even if it's "in normal limits," I have definite symptoms and have read that symptoms are a reason for treatment.

So I did it. I looked at the top endocrinologists website and I made an appointment with one in the area. I have an EXTREME fear of doctors, so this is a big step for me.

I just feel that Gluc has helped me so much and if my thyroid is out of whack, maybe meds might make a real difference in energy and functioning. And weight loss!

I'll keep you posted on how the appointment goes. I'm hoping that this might encourage someone else out there to schedule an appointment!
