PCOS Message Board - View Single Post - did you go from hypo to hyper when pregnant???

I am currently 26 weeks pg, and I have hypothyroidism, I started having heart palpations and Freezing to death, I had to constantly have a coat on in the house with the heater on at 73,this started at about 3 mths along, I told my dr, I knew I needed my thryoid meds raised, I was taking 1.25mcg one day and 1.50mcg the next day I alternate and it keeps me stable, I have since being pregnant had it raised once already I am now taking 1.50mcg one day and 1.75mcg the next day and alternating, I have not had anymore heart palpations, I always know when my heart is beating irregular that my thryoid is too high, thank god my dr listens to me, that is part of pregnancy the part about getting TSH checked at every drs visit and raising meds as nessicary!! I never became Hyper during pregnancy, this is my second pregnancy since I was DX as being Hypothryoid I also have IR real bad and am currently taking 2000mg of glucophage XR as I did in my previous pregnancy which produced a wonderful, beautiful, very smart little 20 month old girl. I did however at the end of my pregnancy with DD end up with my dose being raised to 200mcg, after she was born I kept taking that dose and became Hyper, We stopped all meds for two weeks did another TSH and started me on a low dose after she was born, and like I said I alternate two different doses and that seems to keep me in a normal range, up until then it was about 3 yrs when I just felt like crap!!
