I just stopped taking it. I have a new doctor who gave me a new prescription for it at 50 mgs, twice daily. I haven't been taking them, though. I'm just not sure that it's worthwhile.

Spironolactone is the generic version of Aldactone. I have read that Aldactone is much more effective, but my insurance won't cover it because I have to take a generic form if it is available.
