Default reducing hyperpigmentation and acne scars

Lustra AF (available by prescription) is one of the hydroquinone (sp?) creams that's good for hyperpigmentation and scaring. It didn't work all that well for me, but there are lots who swear by it. Any fade cream formulated for women of colour is a good option and usually inexpensive; Ambi Skin Tone Cream and Black Opal Fade Recovery Complex are two good ones. Serious Skin Care (available through eBay or the home shopping network www.hsn.com) has great products too but they're pricey. I like all the products they've introduced though.

If you're looking for a treatments to address skin's texture lots have suggested peels and dermabrasion or microdermabrasion and these are really your best bet. The kind of treatments aestheticians use are available online or at places like Sephora or go cheaper and bid for them on eBay. Dr. Brandt's Microdermabrasion in a Jar is really great and really works I've purchased it for myself, my mother and my sisters. It's 75 USD for a 1oz. jar retail (ouch!) but I found three through eBay for that same amount.

Good Luck!
