Nope, that's not what I meant by needling.

Needling is a revolutionary new scar treatment that the yahoo group for acne scars I mentioned has a lot of information on.

Basically, scars are formed when there is thick, bonded skin tissue underneath the surface layer of skin, which explains why you can kind of sand off a thin layer of skin but later, the exact same scars appear again. This is because the underlying connections have not been severed and the scar causes your skin to keep growing in the same shape.

After all, the skin on your face is not the same skin cells you had a year ago or even a month ago! The reason why a scar "stays" there is because of how the skin tissue is creating a tight, inflexible band of scar tissue that causes the skincells to keep growing in that same, altered way.

Needling involves a nearly painless treatment of a fine needle going into the skin (think of acupuncture but more painless), that also penetrates deeply enough to break up the deeper bonds of scars and break them up for good.

Hang on, let me see if I can find a link for you.....

Okay, here it is.

This is the support group I mentioned for acne scars. The guy who runs it very nice, very cool, and has tried the needling procedures himself more than once. This group can provide quite a bit of information and first-hand reports of using needling to eliminate scars.

PLUS, get this.

Needling is CHEAP.

Love to all sisters,
