Default met for life?

I think it is different for everyone re; Met. Some women have reached their goal weight and been able to stay there on their own, finding it easy to maintain a healthy weight once the PCOS symptoms have subsided. I have also talked to other women who say this is a life choice for them. I put off taking Met for years because I don't like taking medication. But my boyfriend helped me see it differently... if I had a problem with my heart, would I avoid taking THAT medication? And since PCOS can lead to heart troubles down the road, his analogy was not that far off! I have been on it for six months now, lost 15 pounds (amazing for me after YEARS of only gaining, no matter how much i worked out) and plan to stick with it as long as necessary. As far as doctors not recognizing PCOS, I have been THERE too.. I can't tell you how many times IIII had to tell my DOCTOR what it was! See if you can get to an endocrinologist.. that's where I found good, sound, HELPFUL advice.

Best wishes!
