Self medical experiments are the best, they run along the same along line as self surgery! What you seem to be describing is Acanthosis nigricans. It is a very common thing with us cysters. It happens to be extra insulin depositing on the skin. It seems that weight loss and getting the IR under control helps, but if that cream helps...go right ahead..lol.
