erythromycin (topical and pills) is safe. i have used this for cysts after consulting with both my gyno and my dermatologist.

azealic acid is also safe.

i have heard mixed reports about salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. some say that they're not safe, others say they're ok in small doses. i think it's ok if you're not using hyper-concentrated doses. most otc stuff should be ok.
