Unhappy

Hello anyone in met:

After four years not coming to my previous gyn office because the change of medical coverage, last year I returned to my previous gyn office for a regular check up.
She was very happy to see me but very concern about the excess of facial hair, my weight and no having regular menses. She send me to visit the endo to see if I was a candidate for metformin. I visited the endo and after a week a return to find out that I was IR, but he did not prescribe metformin cause I was not planning to become pregnant. I was disappointed with his decision so he decided to prescribe spironolactone, which I have took before, to stop the growth of facial hair and did not like the side effects of it. I did work but I was afraid of the combination of provera & spironolactone. Last month I visited my gyn for an annual check up. She is very concern because since last year I have gain 24 pounds and my hair has not disappear.

My gyn hope that the new endo will be able to prescribe met if im still IR. I don't know if I have to keep taking provera to have my regular menses.
I need the opinion of someone out there who my have take both medications.
I'm also tired of struggling with my weight, mood swings, lack of interest in sex and social activities.

Thanks
Yadira
