I learned while taking Glucophage 1500mg (another form of Metformin) that ot can cause hair loss. I began lossing my hair after 3 months and it was in clumps by the 5th month. I learned that it prevents your body from absorbing your proper daily dosage of Vitamin B which is needed for quality hair growth. I immediately started taking Vitamin B Complex and once I was able to stop taking the Glucophage my hair gradually stopped falling out. One year later there is a huge difference.
