I was diagnosed at 15, but had irregular periods since I started my period. At one point my doctor wanted me to have a hysterectomy. Thank goodness I refused. While my friends dreamed of becomeing vets, doctors, lawyers, etc. I dreamed of being a mom. I dreamed of PTA meetings, making beds, and little ones crawling in bed with me after a bad dream. How could it be that I would be denied my dream. All my early doctors told me that my chances to have a baby were quite slim. I went through most of my teenage years without much purpose b/c I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life if my only real ambition was squashed.

To my teen cysters who are worried about future infertility, there's hope and treatment. More and more doctors are becoming aware of PCOS and treatment options for it. You guys have Soul Cysters, too. Thare is a wealth of knowlege here that put you ahead of the game. Some of our cysters know more than the doctors who treat them. Knowledge is an advantage, one I wish I had years sooner. Keep yourselves educated and spend your time thinking about the probability that you can have children based on the advances that are being made.
