Hello I'm also on a diuretic for HBP--Hydrochlorothiazide. I've been on that for a month, and noticed some water weight loss(I think it is, but my diet has been better too so who knows; but the pounds have stayed off so far). I am completing my 2nd week on Met, so I'm hoping to see good results with that as well.

The one thing that my doctor said about the water pill is that you must still drink lots of water. Sodium is not as much an issue, but I'd stay away from the fast food anyways. Good luck, and I hope your water retention issues ease up soon.
