I spoke to the man about it again today. Good news! He works with an underwriter who specializes in customers with health conditions. They will have me sign a release form so they can pull my medical records. As long as my kidneys have not been effected, they will give me a standard rate (it won't be elevated due to health conditions). My kidneys have not been effected, and my medical records will show it. He said that he works with clients all of the time with health conditions, many with much more serious conditions, and gets them approved. He's been in the business for over 30 yrs. He said the only problem that they WOULD HAVE encountered was if I had not had all of the testing done. Then, they would not have covered me UNTIL I had all of the testing done. He said that since I have had all of the tests, am being treated and monitored by a physician, there is no problem! I told him that I heard about this PCOS/ineligable situation from message board...he said that if I know of anyone who needs help in getting insurance, he can help them. I'm looking at $250k & $500k policies. I'll let you know what rates I get.
