I think this is the right place to ask this. How do I get my dh more involved with this whole PCOS situation? He's known I've had some problems since before we got married and I was dx shortly afterward. I know he wants to have kids as much as I do, but he also seems to want to leave all the business of trying to get pregnant up to me. That sounds a little weird. What I mean to say is he wants to be there for the fun parts of conception, but doesn't want to know or be involved in all the rest of it. I've tried to explain to him that this could be pretty difficult, but he just hugs me and tells me he knows we can do it. That's very sweet and all, but I need someone to bounce ideas and thoughts of off who knows what the heck I'm talking about.

I think the problem here is he's very squeamish about anything that has to do with biology or how the body works (or doesn't work, in some cases). He just doesn't seem to want to know anything about it. (He hasn't been to the doctor in over six years, but that's a whole other issue.) I think he's especially sqeamish about how female parts work, but I don't think that's too uncommon for a lot of guys, right?

So how do I get him more involved? I'd at least like him to be familier with the signs and symptoms PCOS and what is going on with me. We can work up from there to what it's going to take to concieve. Is there a good, easy to understand book, diagram, website or something that would be quick and easy for him to understand? (He's not stupid, just very artsy and science stuff doesn't hold his interest very long.)
