Hi, I had the lap. I had never had surgery prior to this either. I was really scared. However, it is not bad at all. Yes, you are sore after surgery but the pain is not as bad as the gallbladder attacks!I had to stay in the hospital 24 hours b/c I was vomiting a lot. My appetite was fine once I was home. I stayed home for a week then went back to work.
