WOW. I have been on BCPs ever since I was 17 I think...I'm now 32. At first, they were too strong and I stopped taking them...consequently that's how I got pregnant. I stopped them just a few days prior to getting PG. After my son was born (age 19) I had a depo shot as they wouldn't let me leave the hospital without being on some sort of brith control (being an unwed mother and all). I bled for 3 months non-stop. After that I was put on tri-levelin (tri-phasil) and have been on them ever since. I stopped them in February. I have often wondered if it was bad to be on bcps for so long. I never imagined that it could actually be making me worst...or sick. Very interesting.
