It's an interesting article. I've been thinking about going on the birth control that allows you to have three periods a year, but it just doesn't seem healthy not to menstruate every month. Before I knew I had PCOS I would have one or two periods a year, and some of them would be so draining because they lasted so long. I do believe that eating healthier reduces the cramping and bloating.
