Psychiatrists! *please read* I know for some it is a hard thing to do, to admit you really need the help of a professional!
Some are just scared, and some are in denial about their problems!
YES there are some bad psych's out there, but there are excellent ones who can help you!
The best thing I ever did for myself was going to a psychiatrist and I am actually looking forward to seeing him again next month!
Depression meds alone cannot always solve your core issues! Besides regular doctors usually only perscribe the minimum doses of anti-depressants which may do nothing at all! Only a good psych can give you the right drug combo's. And did you know the only way to be diagnosed with depression and other disorders is a psychiatrist? Regular doc's are just guessing! Like in my case, my regular doc said I was depressed gave me a low dose of celexa and sent me on my way, turns out I have clinical depression and an anxiety disorder!
I guess what I am trying to say is stand stong for yourself and do this for you!
A good book recommended by my psych is " the feeling good handbook " it is good reading and has written exercises that really help you identify with yourself.
(((((hugs)))))
