Unhappy BC as damage control

I have tried many many treatment options over the years, and tried as long as I could not to be on meds. The last few years, however, my ovaries have gotten much worse, and my doctor pretty much said that I had to go on strong BC and occasional other hormones to protect myself from getting worse as much as possible. I can't take metaformin, because my blood sugars run very low. For a while I had to be on Provera and BC at the same time (thank the Lord that rollercoaster is over!). According to my dr. if we can't get my progress under control surgery on my ovaries is the only next step. The pain had gotten so bad that I was passing out on a regular basis. After trying many different types of BC I am on Seasonal which is up there with Depo as my last two options, and the risks of Depo are much too high for me. My pain has reduced by about half, and I am menstrating some again. I have also lost about 30lbs without any other changes. So, I'm not sure that I am a BC lover...but right now, its the best thing I've got.
