Hi Kris,

I am sorry you are suffering.

Things that the doctors fail to tell us(or warn) is that any type of surgery that opens your abdomin runs the high risk of adhesions.

They are also caused by the Endo(you prob already knew that part)
So if you were not fully healed(months for some post LAP) you very well could have injured your surgery site. Endo is a tricky disease. It can live nice and quite in 90% of the women who have it. But for the other 10% of us, it causes horrible disabling symptoms.

If your hormones have changed(including insulin resistance) that could explain your increase of pain.

The thing that really bothers me is that they gave you BCP while you have endometreosis. The estrogen can feed the Endo. So if you are in a flair,(AF includded) any hormone change(BCP includded) can make the pain worse.

AS for your ovary shutting down, yes, that too can happen. That can also be a cause of any hormone changes. You may have adhesions on the ovary they worked on.
But the Endo and adhesions(go hand in hand) are more likely the problem.

I would suggest you try pelvic floor physical therapy. They can stretch those adhesions to lesson the pain. It helped with me.

Endo is like a scab. It gets injured(ex: cyst burts) Then it grows a protective scab. That scab is made of adhesions(scar tissue) Then as that injury is effected by the hormones, it will bleed, rescab and it repeats over and over again.

I still have adhesions and I had them removed during my surgeries 3 years ago. But the adhesions can grow back.

Stress can also affect your muscles and they can make it all feel worse.

Please also read up on Andneomyosis.(I just did a big post on all this-search my resent posts) It is typical for Endo victims to also be affected with Andneo. It directly effects the uteris(Reason for more severe pain)

Let me know if I can offer anymore information.

Patty
