I was raised in a very strict Christian evangelical family. I am 27 now, was 18 when I came out. I went through a lot of self exploration on my feeling on God, religion and coming to terms with my sexuality in terms of those things. I struggled a lot with reconciling my identity as a lesbian with the evangelical Christian upbringing I had. It was a long journey for me, but I would be happy to talk to you about it if you are still interested. I can probably recommend some good books - things I read that helped me through and helped me figure it out for myself. And I'm always willing to lend an ear or talk about my experiences. This is a difficult journey - you'll be in my thoughts.
