This is one of those things that seems to not have 1 good answer. I've seen people say that it didn't hurt at all and I've also seen people say it was the worst pain ever...
Personally, it didn't hurt me at all. I took the whole day off from work and I probably could have done it on my lunch break! The whole thing took about 15 mins...There was little discomfort and there was no pain after.
Before you go, take some pain meds about 30-45 mins before. I used Aleave which worked great! Also, bring pads with you...Some of the dye leaks out alittle after. They usually have pads for you but at my hospital, they were the yucky big diaper kind...
All in all, it was no big deal for me but then again, it was normal and I had no blockages. If you have blockages, there will be more pain.
