I was normal, around 7 pounds somewhere. But I was a wee bit late (can't remember how much now, I think only two weeks) and my mother had Gestational Diabetes while pregnant with me, just as she had with all of my other siblings. She's now a TypeII Diabetic. I was her smallest baby, but that might have had something to do with the fact that she was 39 and that we were RH incompatible and she wasn't given a shot (if they even had them in '73!) despite having had at least one m/c where the baby's bloodtype was unknown. I nearly died of anemia due to that, but here I am

But that gestational diabetes screwed us all. My sister is a Type I Diabetic, my brother suffers horrible hypoglycemic episodes and needs to be tested, and my oldest brother is HUGE and refuses to be tested for Diabetes or IR I was found IR at 19.
