wow. i just read some of the responses you got to this on the religion thread and i'm really not surprised at what they were saying. i have an unconventional belief system, so i'm not really sure you want to hear what i have to say about it but here goes nuthin'. i firmly believe that if you are a reasonably decent person, you will end up where the decent people end up. if not, then not. i don't believe that god is sitting up on some hill marking down each little indescretion from a list of things that are "wrong". evil people get off on hurting others. this absolutely doesn't sound like you. you wouldn't even ask if you are doing something wrong if you are truly "evil". you wouldn't care. some of the most admirable, christ-like and loving people i have ever known have been gay. isn't being as christ-like as possible the whole point of being a christian? he never judged anyone. he helped as many people as he could and loved and loves all who care enough to follow him. i really don't think he would kick you out of a church if you told him you believe in him and wish to learn what he has to say. he said to feed his sheep, not just the straight ones or those of certain races or statuses. he loves everyone who loves him. it is just the way it is. people make being gay a sin, jesus just wants us to live a good life, help those who need it and come home to where we belong, alongside our dear older brother. i refuse to believe that all those i have loved, all those who have passed who were beautiful role models and some of the most lovely people i have ever known will be excluded from the kingdom of our father just because they love who they love. i cannot. i hope i helped a little. it truly is a place you have to get to on your own and know within your own heart. i wish you well, hon.
