Default what should I do?

I am 19 and a couple of months ago I was told I have PCOS. I knew when I was 16 though because of another doctor, but i never went back because of a bad experience. I decided to find another doctor because I have been having bad pelvic pains. When I went to my new doctor she did blood work. She told me that I did not need a pelvic exam/pap smear because I am a virgin and under 21. I have another appoitment next week. I am really confused because I really trust her but I have been doing some reading and because of the pain Ive been having and my past blood test I have read that I should have a pelvic exam and an ultrasound. She put me on birth control last time and the pain hasnt happened as often but when I do still have it, it feels stronger and more noticible. What should I do? It is hard for me to find a doctor I like because of past experience and I am comfortable with her but I am not sure she is doing what she should.
