A second opion is always a good thing. So props for you for making another appointment. There are a few diffrent books about PCOS that might help you understnad more about what's going on with your body. The only one I can remeber off the top of my head is PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic. Also ther are lots of artilces here at SC that you can read their in the good article/book section. There's also alot of "veteran" cysters around here that know alot about PCOS and have been "dealing" with all its nasty side effects for a while.
I would sit down and make a list about what is is that is your main concerns. Hair? Acne? Ovualting? Lack of periods? What exactly is making you more concerned now? As far as blood work is concerned I get my blood tested about once every 6 months. Once a Dr. has you on a regiman that they think is working its really not necessary to be checked to much more often then that. Unless of course more problems arrise or things change with your sitution ie: major weight loss, major weight gain or anything new pops up.
Us cysters can try and answer any specific questions you have but you should definitly find the time to read a book about PCOS and get to know all about it. It will also help you keep better track of what your body is doing and why. GL
