I'll give you my experience:
After going on Met, my hairloss symptoms improved tremendously within a week.

However, after getting better for a while, it suddenly got much worse. My doctor had no idea what was going on, but on this board I have read that Met can cause you to inhibit absorption of certain B vitamins.

I started taking GNC Hair, Skin & Nails vitamins which has large doses of Biotin and other vitamins and my hair is really great now.

So in answer to your questions, Met can help hairloss by normalizing testosterone but you need to be careful you're supplementing your vitamins to prevent that type of hairloss.
