I just found this site this week. I got diagnosed last week based on my history and old labwork. I'm breastfeeding right now so my endo can't do fresh labs until I'm done.
I'm 5'9" and am 140. I think this is one of the main reasons it took 5 years to get an actual diagnosis. I just don't fit into the typical pcos box. I'm a bit frustrated b/c when I finally met the endo. I learned I could have been diagnosed when my gynie first ran tests for the fertility issues I was having. Oh well. We did clomid, have twin boys who are 4 and I got pregnant last year immediately following a miscarriage after a clomid cycle.
Right now I'm not on any meds. I just stopped taking bcps today due to side-effects and I really need to have AF. They were progesterone only pills due to me nursing. I read that those type of pill really don't help pcos much anyway. |
