at the 2006 National Conference on PCOS hosted by the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association of Australia.
POSAA are in the final stages of securing all the speakers, so far they expect to include the guests listed below but final details are yet to be confirmed:
Professor John Eden, author and endocrinologist, speaking on PCOS: Surviving the 40s and 50s & Managing Menstrual problems.
Dr Warren Kidson, Endocrinologist talking about PCOS and Metformin & Metformin and Pregnancy.
Dr John Mahony will be speaking about IPL and laser Hair removal.
Dietitian Kate Marsh, one of the co-authors of the "New Glucose Revolution: Managing PCOS" will also be speaking.
Professor Helena Teede, from the Jean Hailes Foundation, will be attending to speak about Depression, Heart Disease and PCOS, and the latest research from the Jean Hailes Foundation.
There will also be an "Ask the Doctors Forum" for women to ask their PCOS questions to the doctors.
It will be held in NSW this year on the Sept/Oct long weekend, Saturday Sept 30th - at the Tattersalls Club -- 181 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
I will post more details when they are confirmed. Hope that some of the Aussie cysters from SC will be able to attend. It sounds like it will be very informative, and nice to meet up with our cysters as well.
