I have found noone who knew what it was except my DR and endocrinologist. I am a nurse and have asked other nurses who look at me like I am making it up. My MIL is also a nurse who worked in a ob/gyn office and labor and delivery and she has no clue. My Twin sis has just been diagnosed because I was diagnosed and having the same symptoms she questioned her dr how come it never came up. His response "well since your twin has it, and your periods are irregular then maybe you do have it" she asked about Metformin which I was on at the time she was diagnosed, his response "well since that is what they put her on then I dont see where it could hurt" Its crazy something more has to be done to make it a little easier on us to talk about it with our families and friends.
