You have to link carbs with protein. I find this IR diet very easy to follow and have lost about 30 lbs. so far with another 30 or so left to go. I love the fact that I don't have to count calories, etc. I can still eat cookies, ice cream but I stick with the sugar free versions now. I try to limit my sugar intake to try to avoid my insulin from spiking.
I highly recommend the first book that Kat listed!! It's a superb book, easy to follow and easy to do too. I just look up in the book how much of one fruit I can eat as a serving to give me an idea of how much protein to link it up with, etc. |
