I love Jamba Juice! I order mine without sherbert, with 2 protein scoops, a 'fiber boost' and a 'vita boost'. I have the impression that the fruit and fruit juice that they use do not have added sugar just the fructose that occurs naturally in the fruit - it is sometimes difficult to get the straight story on that since fruit does contain 'sugar' naturally - I think that someone behind the counter of another smoothie place sort of mislead me on the sugar thing. Fruit smoothies are probably not the best thing to do carb-wise and they are pretty expensive to have out but it is a quick meal on the go and I probably get some nutrients from the fruit that I would not otherwise get in my diet. . . . plus the Mango go-go is pretty yummy even without the sherbert!

At home I make my smoothies with packaged frozen fruit (I make sure and check the ingredients for sugar) ice, milk, sometimes a little fruit juice, protein powder, vitamin c powder, 'All One' Powder Multi Vitamin, (plain) Inositol and powdered cal/mag suppliment. I sort of figure that if I put enough good stuff in it I can sort of justify having some carbs from fruit and I think that the smoothie taste holds up to all the other stuff and it is an easy way to get it all down at once.
