I had my thyroid removed due to Thyroid Cancer, I also had Hasi's. Prior to removal, I was on the lowest dose of Synthroid and all my blood work came back great every time...but I never felt great. Since the treatment of my thyroid cancer I have felt SO MUCH better. My periods were never regular, and this Fall is the first time I have been off the pill in the last 4 years (since trying to get pregnant 4 years ago and all my thyca stuff), and my cycle has been EXACTLY 30 days. A first for me. I would definatley research it and ask your doctor any questions you have about it. Hasi's will most likely eventually kill your entire thyroid if not treated. www.endocrineweb.com is one of my favorite endocrine sites. Here are some more sites that can provide more info for you: www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/thyroidcancer.html www.thyca.org www.thyroid.org/patients/patients.html www.thyroidmanager.org http://www.allthyroid.org/disorders/...ism/index/html www.aace.com/pub/thyroidbrochures www.hormone.org/learn/thyroid.html
