Yes, that is true, BUT if you lose weight, it is more LIKELY to get rid of the symptoms. You still need to do it in a healthy way, and if you are thin already, improving your diet is a good way to help with the symptoms (chemicals in processed foods are often linked to PCOS problems).

Here is a really good book that has excellent suggestions about how to improve your diet to gain health, and if you need to lose weight, you will, but you will be a healthier person either way.
