Yep, she's right. I had to have surgery on mine when I was 19. There is actually a pocket that is not sealed while in utero that can become pussy and infected. The only way to permanently get rid of a polinidal cyst is surgery.

There are some wicked cool medical reports about finding "twin tissue" in the polinidal sacks. No such luck with mine. Just puss.
